Satan: He Ain’t Worth It…

Satan/Lucifer/The Devil

God created Satan as an Angel, and as such Satan only has the power of an Angel, no where near the power or authority of God!

Should We Be Afraid of Satan?

We should not be afraid of Satan, but let me be very clear, we must be aware and educated about him.  Without Jesus, we are powerless against Satan.  His power both in the heavenly realm and on earth is great and should not be  underestimated. However, while Satan and his forces are formidable enemies,  Jesus Christ crushed Satan’s power, fulfilling the prophecy of Genesis 3:15. The cross of  Christ won the victory (John 12:31).   “The prince of this world now stands condemned” (John 16:11),  and Jesus will one day destroy Satan’s power completely and purify creation (2 Peter 3:10).  However, Satan is obviously restrained from enacting his full fury; he is still a created being under God, and his power is limited

How Can We Overcome Satan?

There is only one way to overcome Satan and that is through Jesus Christ.  We must come to Jesus and be washed in His blood and be filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit (the Comforter/Holy Ghost given to us from Jesus).  We must equip ourselves with the full armor of the Lord (Ephesians 6:10-20) because as the bible states, we are not battling against flesh and blood, but the principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places

Satan’s Conclusion and Demise

So whatever he’s called, Satan/the Devil sounds exceedingly unpleasant – and he is! He not only hates God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but also you and me and will try anything he can to stop us knowing how much God loves us.

Satan knows he’s lost, he still tries to stop people knowing about God and Jesus. Satan also knows his final fate and destination – and it’s not a pleasant one (for him and his followers at any rate!)

Don’t be fooled and end up like him….he ain’t worth it
