The Rinse Cycle

Standalone_1175X1290

God desires to thoroughly cleanse us from all of the things which hinder Him from blessing us as He desires, but are we jumping out of His Divine Washing Machine before the ‘RINSE CYCLE?’

If you’re like me, doing laundry is a chore, but it must be done.  Gathering the clothes from various rooms, then sorting them into piles…you know the cold water pile, the hot water pile, etc.  Once that is done, you select which pile will go first.  With me, it’s usually the whites.  I run the water while adding my detergent (I prefer Gain).  After the water has reached its peak, I now can add the clothes.

Now with every wash load, there is a rinse cycle.  What do you think would happen if I selected to remove the clothes before the rinse cycle begins?  You guessed it, the clothes would be soapy or sudsy.  Why would I do that?  Why would anyone do that? It doesn’t make any sense!

The picture I am trying to depict here is this: we go before the throne of God asking Him to forgive us of our sins; the wash cycle (That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved; Romans 10:9).  Once we ask for forgiveness, most of us stop right there.  I’m here to tell you, that was just the beginning because now you must be transformed (But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind; Romans 12:2).  Some of us become impatient during the transformation process and jump out of the washing machine before the rinse cycle.  God wants to thoroughly wash and rinse all the bad things from us, but He can’t if we decide to jump out of His washing machine!

As with our laundry when we wash it.  If we take it out of the washing machine before the rinse cycle, our clothes will still have dirt mixed with soap in them.  The rinse cycle is crucial to remove all of the dirt

As we embark upon a journey of living our lives for Jesus, we must be thoroughly cleansed and rinsed and after the rinse cycle is where the spin cycle becomes relevant to being perfected into a new creature in Christ Jesus (Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

In essence, if we don’t allow God to thoroughly cleanse, rinse and spin us, we will continue to walk around with things such as hate, jealousy, lying, envy, strife, etc. which would be contrary to the new traits God wants to place within us through His Spirit.

In closing, allow Jesus to wash, rinse and spin you in His Divine Washing Machine…because once He’s done, you’ll be as pure gold…
