Finding Your Joy and Happiness by Abiola A.

Finding-Joy-Journey

I am not here to give you ways to be happy , to be honest, there is only on true source of Joy and happiness and that’s in JEsus and no one else, not even your parents or significant other. We all make the mistake of thinking that someone or something would bring us joy and make us happy , yes it probably will but not for long i can assure you.

You would never really understand what true happiness is till you experience a relationship with an amazing patient and forgiving Father. I have been thinking about this for a while now and this morning i have come to accept all over again that no one or nothing would ever make me as happy , knowing that there’s a God who shaped the universe and He is in love with you, that right there is an ego booster and all the more reason to be joyful.

______________________________

Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?” Let the light of your face shine on us. Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. – Psalm 4:6-8
______________________________

Truth is , there would always be problems, always, looking for quick fixes to make yourself feel better is not going to do anything but worsen things, so why not just be happy and joyful and tackle that problem with a clear mind.

You are a special child of God and deserve to be just as happy as everyone else, looking for happiness in the wrong places is dangerous and would only bring more pain and hurt, trying to get into a relationship with someone because you are trying to find someone to complete you is just going to end in disaster because you are already complete , stop thinking God made you in half so another half can make you complete , it does not work that way, you are one, and when it is time for you to be with another “one” , you two become “one”, it is not half and half to make one. You are not some incomplete work , you have been made perfect through JEsus

When you are feeling all sad and depressed , just remember God , not a god or some god , Our Lord Jesus Christ died for you, he was beaten for you, he could have escaped all of that but he felt you were worth it and he went through the pain, yes it hurt him, he came in human form so yes, he felt every single pain but he held on just because he knew how important it was to die for you so you can live. Jesus did not die so you can go around looking for joy and fufilment in the wrong places, just think about that for a minute!

In conclusion, just be happy , you would be amazed to see how easy it is to be in even the worst circumstances..making others happy and spreading God’s love and loving others increases that joy and happiness you find in Christ.. God loves you no matter how hard you fall and far you fall away , for some reasons beyond us he loves us so much HE is always waiting for us to come back and repent , he never stops Loving us..God bless you and have a wonderful week!!

Live Your Life’s Dream…Inspired by God | Tricia Goyer

o-HAPPY-facebook

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NIV)

As a speaker, one of my favorite things to do is encourage the audience to “dream big.” Too many times we put God in a box.

We’re afraid to step out of our comfort zones. We forget that God created the universe, so surely He can help us with our small dreams. There are many dreams God has helped me fulfill: starting a crisis pregnancy center, leading a mission team to Europe, and writing books for a living, to name a few.

So I like to encourage others to dream big since I’ve seen dreams come true in my life. Yet lately I’ve been adding a P.S. to my message. Why? Because in my good intentions, I may have led people to become discouraged instead.

One of the problems with the message “dream big” is that we let our human minds measure what “big” is. We think it has to be fame or success or a huge blog. We think it has to involve starting a ministry or sharing Christ in an atheistic country.

This doesn’t always have to be the case. What is “big” to God? The “big” thing to God is obeying what He asks you to do. You could become famous, make it big, and become well-known—and it would amount to nothing. Or you can ask God what big is to Him. You might be surprised.

Last year, my husband and I felt God telling us to walk away from some of our ministry opportunities in order to adopt two children from the foster care system. I will not become famous wiping noses, playing mommy, or pushing a swing, but to God this is a big thing.

WHERE FAITH BECOMES REAL

What is big to God in your life? It’s a question you need to ask. It’s wonderful to dream big.. just as long as you are sure you know that the direction of your dream was inspired by your loving heavenly Father.

Faith step: Take a minute and think about the dreams God has been speaking to your heart. Write them down, even though they may not seem big to the world’s eyes. Now, what is one step you can take toward them? Write that down too.

A Devotion to Refresh Your Spirit | Marion Bond West

ShamanicCeremonialist

Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin. Matthew 6:28

I hadn’t had a very good workout at the YMCA that morning.  Everyone looked younger than I am–and more athletic. I dreaded going home. I’d just drop into a chair, exhausted.

My body was weary, but so was my soul. God seemed so far away. The sun was Georgia hot, even at eleven in the morning, as I exited the building. Discouragement tagged along with me.

A woman passed me, walking briskly to the parking area. She stopped a few steps in front of me and took out a bottle of water. I slowed down. It didn’t appear she was going to drink it.

I pretended to rummage through my gym bag in order to observe her. She leaned way over, after removing the cap to the water bottle, and singled out one red zinnia in the garden that grew beside the iron fence.  Carefully, even lovingly, she allowed the flower to drink.

An amazing thing happened. It felt as though someone had poured joy directly into my soul. One flower in all the hundreds had been tended to with such deliberate care. The woman straightened up and walked to her car.

I lingered by the red zinnia. Somehow, I felt refreshed, as though God had reached down to Earth and touched me. “I see you, Marion. I love you.”

Father, You find such tender ways to show me Yourself when I need You most.

You’ve Got Mail…from Jesus! | Sharon Hinck

email from God

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:14-15

My mom’s birthday was approaching and I wanted to do something special for her. Mom insisted she didn’t want a party and didn’t want any fuss at all. I reminded her that we all wanted to celebrate her, and asked again if there was anything she would enjoy.

She admitted she loved getting cards in the mail, and had heard of a friend who had a “card shower.” My husband, daughter, and I dove in to the project with gusto. My husband put up a notice at work. My daughter posted online to her friends. We passed out slips of paper at church with her address, and I sent info to an e-mail loop of writers.

A few days before her birthday, cards, postcards, and even gifts of books from people she’d never met began to arrive. She was thrilled. Each day was an adventure when she’d bring in the large stack of mail, and pour through return addresses from all over the country.

Her joy at receiving, opening, reading, and savoring her mail made me think of the full mailbox that Jesus has provided for us through His Word. Every day, I can open the pages of my Bible and find His greeting of love expressed in various ways: letters, songs, poetry, historical accounts, parables, and more.

Had Mom let all those colorful cards and well wishes sit unopened, she would have missed out on a fun blessing. Yet some days, I ignore the wealth of encouragement and love that Jesus has sent to me.

Faith step: Open your mail from Jesus–your Bible–and rejoice at His personal greeting to you today. Then mail a card to a friend to lift their spirits.

What’s in Your Fruit Basket?

uae-62774

We have a pretty fruit basket that sits on our countertop. It is usually filled with fresh organic fruit. Today, I went to grab a beautiful-looking apple but when I lifted it up, I noticed that it was very light in weight. I looked at the backside and sure enough, it was rotten. It also had corrupted the orange sitting right next to it. Both pieces of fruit had to be thrown away.

The Bible tells us that we are to be careful who we fellowship with. Rotten fruit always corrupts the good fruit. A good piece of fruit never rehabilitates a rotten bunch of fruit. It is always the other way around. Place a good apple in a rotten bunch and it too shall become rotten.

2Cor 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

We, as Christians, are commanded in Scripture to avoid the constant fellowship with unbelievers. We are instead to fellowship with other believers in Christ Jesus.

1Thess 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

We are light in the darkness. We are the salt of the earth and are supposed to be a good example. We are called to show the love of Jesus and to love those who are considered unlovable. But the bible warns us of constant fellowship with the unsaved. We are not called to fellowship with them, lest our own minds become corrupted.

Only Jesus can set men free. Only Jesus can save the unconverted soul. We are to witness, show our light and reach the lost by our love and compassion but ultimately, it is Jesus who will save the soul.

It is not our job to rehabilitate the unsaved…only Jesus can change them—once they get saved. Trying to change your unsaved friend is like trying to patch the hole on the sinking Titanic. If you really want your loved one to change, tell them about Jesus– for He alone can give someone a brand new heart.

Sitting on the phone with your troubled unsaved girlfriend all day long will bring you down spiritually. We are to show the love of Jesus to the unsaved but we are not to grieve the Holy Spirit within us by listening to ungodly conversations.

Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

You will find that as you grow in Christ Jesus, either your unsaved friend will desire Christ Jesus too by the Light they see in you or they will abandon their friendship with you because they desire not the Lord in their own lives. No matter what, we cannot compromise..Jesus must come first in everything we do and say.

Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God

‘IT TOOK JESUS SECONDS!!!’

‘IT TOOK JESUS SECONDS!!!’

Last night I tossed and turned worrying about today because today is one of those days that I have a lot to do. But at 7:07 this morning, the Lord placed within my spirit how to conquer my worries with a perfect plan…in just seconds!!!

Now had I consulted the Lord prior to my journey down worry lane, I would have been blessed with a good nights sleep, but I didn’t and I suffered

I’m telling you this because if you’re like me, we tend to worry about things and forget to place them in Jesus hands. He knows all about us and He said in His word, He loves and cares about us. So today, starting right now, let’s commit to laying down our worries and committing ourselves to Jesus. My night of worrying was calmed in seconds by Jesus…it literally took Jesus seconds to calm my storm and He can do the same for you; if you allow Him

May the grace of God keep you and the love of Christ Jesus forever rest upon you from this day forth!…Amen
